Our preventive services provide gentle but thorough hygiene care, which includes health history review, blood pressure check, oral cancer screening, cleaning of the teeth (ultrasonic if necessary), analysis of x-rays, periodontal health check, DIAGNOdent® laser caries detection, and thorough doctor exam.
We test for the earliest signs of gum infection and educate our patients about the condition. Certainly we encourage periodic re-care appointments at least every six months. Where early to moderate periodontal disease is detected, we provide non-surgical periodontal care and suggest visits every 3 to 4 months.

Because we want to help protect our junior
patients, we do free Toothprints® impressions on each of our
child and adolescent patients at his or her cleaning and exam appointment.
Toothprints® is a thermoplastic wafer that softens
in hot water. When placed in the mouth of a child or teenager by our
staff, it records the child´s individual tooth characteristics, tooth
position within the arch and the upper-to-lower jaw relationship--all
important information for identification. An unrinsed Toothprints® also
captures saliva, a powerful source of human scent, making Toothprints® effective
for scent-tracking dogs. In addition, sufficient saliva proteins remain
from which DNA can be garnered for another means of identification.
Parents keep the Toothprints® record themselves for confidentiality and quick access. Making a Toothprints® bite impression takes only a few minutes. It´s comfortable for your child and will give you great peace of mind. Hopefully you´ll never have to use it.
