When a large number of teeth are missing or the teeth have poor bone support in the jaw or many teeth have decayed past saving, we may recommend a partial denture. We of course try to save as many teeth as possible to give as much support as possible to the partial denture.
When a patient has no healthy teeth, we carefully fit full dentures which may be fitted either immediately after the extractions (an Immediate denture) or after total healing has occurred. We highly recommend implant-supported dentures to assure maximum support and comfort for the full set artificial teeth.
